IEC busy will the following  upcoming events. 
Clean up NZ week 17-24th September IEC will be involved in the Sandy point clean up.  25th September come to the Transiton Town Spring Festival we will have a stall. 10 October come and participate in our Community action day Bucket garden workshop.

Borrow a Bike from the Invercargill Environment Centre.
Need to borrow a Bike, come into the IEC , SIT Arcade Esk street, And for a donation borrow a bike, Helmet and locks supplied. IEC open
10am -4pm. Give us an email, or come in and see us.

Bike repairs
For those who need some advice on bike repairs, or some help. We have a Bike Doctor service Fridays 11.00-4.00pm. St Johns Church Hall, Tay street opposite Pak n Save. Gold Coin donation.

Anyone can vote, but only once, and you will need to supply a valid email address. The finalist with the most votes in each region wins $10,000 for their chosen charity or cause, and $1,000 for themselves.

Our aims are
  • Be a one stop shop for Environmental resources.
  • Be a centre for the creative exchange of ideas between interested groups and individuals.
  • Help people with an interest in the environment to connect with appropriate activities and groups.
We run many projects and activities, including:
  • Clean up days
  • Eco themed film evenings
  • Playbox hire to Kindies.
  • Painting fish on storm water drains.
  • Kidzone activity room
Want to help us
  • We would like to invite anyone to join us in staffing our environment centre on a regular or irregular basis.
  • The time can be a few hours or a half day, from 10am - 1pm and/or 1pm - 4pm.
  • The centre and shop is open from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Please contact us for any information you need.
